VRTX x86/spm Kit

The VRTX x86/spm Kit is a complete, integrated real-time application development kit for segmented protected mode 80x86 applications. The kit supports the development of protected mode applications using a segmented memory model and is unique in its support of 80x86 segmentation. VRTX x86 is one more technological milestone in a remarkable legacy of embedded development tools and RTOS leadership. The VRTX x86/spm Kit can be used on any 32-bit 80x86 processor capable of supporting protected mode, including Intel¦s 80386, 80486, and Pentium(R) processors.
The VRTX x86/spm Kit consists of the Microtec x86/spm toolkit (MCC x86/spm C compiler, ASM x86/pm assembler, BIND x86/pm binder, BUILD x86/pm System Builder, and LIB x86/pm Object Module Librarian), the XRAY x86/pm debugger for Windows, and the VRTX x86/spm operating system. Optionally available are IFX I/O and File Management Executive, WIX character-based display manager, and the TNX networking executive.
The XRAY x86/pm debugger for Windows is a new version of the debugger, based on the Microtec 3.6 baseline, which is capable of supporting both segmented and flat memory model products. This new XRAY debugger will be available with the VRTXsa x86/fpm Kit in its next release.
An XRAY target monitor and VRTX x86/spm board support package (BSP) support is provided for embedded PC systems (PC/104) and the National Semiconductor NS486 Evaluation Board.
